Back to the 50s, Walk Dead!

Mon- 8 Miles as Core Creek and 3 miles at soccer
Tues- Another 8 Mile at Core Creek- Totally blew up my Achilles last night at soccer. Was killing me today.....
Wed-10 neshaminy 1:20:01 felt slow and weak for the entire run. Bleh.
Thurs- 5.3 core creek. 41:20 weak effort
Fri- 10 neshaminy. 1:15:23 was much easier with frozen trails. So sick of the mud.
Sat- 6 Miles Core Creek Took almost an Hr, 58.35 Felt like a zombie the whole time.
Sun- 3.2 Miles 27:18 with my wife on her birthday! She was fying the final 2 miles. Very fun. I'm still exhausted and didn't enjoy trying to keep up with her. Too fast for me today ;-)

Back in the 50s! Now time for back to back. Chances are if I wanted to I could get to 200 this month but I think that would be pushing it a bit more than I want to but it's fun to know that I'm close to 200. I haven't had a 200 miles month since Aug 2011. That feels like to so long ago.

New week Ending 1-13

Mon- 3 miles Langhorne 3 at soccer
Tues- 2 Hills Langhorne
Wed- rest day
Thurs- 5.2 New Core Creek Pr 34:41. Shaved 1:18 off my old record.
Fri- 7.5 at Neshaminy. Nice and slow.
Sat- 5.3 with my brother at core creek. He took 5 minutes off his PR. Well done Bryan!
Sun- Rest. Went to see WICKED on Broadway. Great show. Postmodern message is upfront and dominates the narrative but strong vocal performaces in the first half of the show carry the Musical. Really liked it.

Overall this was an odd rest week. The mileage ws good but the PR run on Thursday did some damage to my achilles. Also the soccer game on monday really ended up hurting my feet and knee. With my plan to do two 50 mile weeks in a row I better be very careful.

Week- 26 miles for the rest week.

This is the New Year

Mon- 10 miles at core creek 1:27:00 3 Miles with my wife in Langhorne 30 min
Tues- 8 miles Core Creek. First 3 with my wife. Last 5 by myself. It was getting dark for the final 3 miles or so. I was seriously cruising the last 2 miles. Felt really great to run fast on a flat course, especially after running 13 miles yesterday. The comeback is on!
Wed- Another 8 at Core Creek with Dave Simon. Tired today. But 29 miles in 3 days sounds great to me so I will surely not complain about heavy legs. Minor irritation in my heel...nothing to worry about.
Thurs- 5 at Core Creek 42:32. Cold, Tire Legs, Fell in the mud. Bleh
Fri- 10 miles in the Dark at Neshaminy. Was trying to break 1:20 on this route but my garmin ran out of battery around mile 9....i think I would have finished around 1:18 or so but can't be sure. Love running at night. Rolling my ankle three time on frozen mountain bike ruts was no fun but other than that running at night is great.
Sat- 8 core creek NEW CORE CREEK PR for my wife :-) 50:23
Sun- Off

Started the new year off right. Had my first 50 mile week in over 14 months. It was a really great feeling. The beginning of the week I felt very week. By the end I was exhausted and I very excited for my rest week next week. I am very proud of my wife who broke her Core Creek PR 50:23. Nice work!  No  other news there.
